About the Stoughton Public Library
Hours:
Monday through Thursday 9 am to 9 pm
Friday and Saturday 9 am to 5 pm (Closed on Saturdays during the Summer)
Library Cards:
Patrons must present an active Old Colony Library Network (OCLN) card to borrow library materials. Individuals residing in OCLN member towns may register at their home library or at any other OCLN member library. All patrons must provide proper identification which includes a current legal home address. Children under 18 must be able to print their first and last name, and have a parent or legal guardian present to sign the registration form. Your library card provides access to all materials in the Library without age restrictions. It is the responsibility of parents or legal guardians to supervise material selection of children. Replacement cost for a lost or damaged library card is $5.00.
Circulation Periods:
7 Days: Holiday Books, Magazines, and DVDs/Videos
14 Days (Non-renewable): New Fiction, New Non-Fiction
14 Days (Renewable): Books, Audio Books, Compact Discs, Juvenile Magazines, Toys
28 Days: Vacation Loan Material
Items borrowed from other libraries may have different loan periods and fines.
Fines:
10 cents/day: Books, Audio Books, Magazines, Compact Discs and Toys
$2.00/day: DVDs/Videos
Reserves:
Reserves are limited to 20 items per patron.
Damaged Materials:
Damaged materials are the responsibility of the patron. Please return only printed material to the Book Drop when the library is closed. All other materials (Compact Discs, Videos, and Audio Books) must be returned to the Main Desk.
DVD/Video Policy:
All patrons with an OCLN library card may borrow 2 videos per card for one week. Videos must be rewound when returned. There is a $1.00 fine for unrewound tapes. DVD and Video Tapes are easily destroyed if left in the Book Drop. Please return to the Main Desk. There is a $5.00 fine for each video left in Book Drop. The Stoughton Public Library is not responsible for the content of movies, compact discs or reading material. Parental supervision is advised.

Stoughton Public Library is a member of the Old Colony Library Network (OCLN). OCLN consists of 28 member libraries. You may use your Stoughton OCLN Library Card at any of the following libraries:
Abington, Avon, Braintree, Brockton, Canton, Cohasset, Duxbury, Hanover, Hingham, Holbrook, Hull, Kingston, Marshfield, Milton, Norwell, Plymouth, Quincy, Randolph, Rockland, Sandwich, Scituate, Sharon, Stoughton, Walpole, Weymouth, Whitman as well as Eastern Nazarene College and Massasoit Community College.
